Greenery, quiet, within walking distance of the city center
This apartment isn’t for those who appreciate “City View” (and the accompanying street noise). It’s for those who prefer peace and greenery.
We, a family who loves strolling around Old Tbilisi, bought this apartment for two reasons:
1) 22-minute walk to the Sulphur Baths
2) Two balconies overlooking a quiet, green courtyard
We also looked for the following when buying:
• Sleep in silence with the windows open (with mosquito nets)
• Pine trees and other greenery in every window, visible from every corner of the apartment
• No people walking under the windows
• The quietest part of the landscaped courtyard
• Eight-minute walk to the beautiful embankment leading to the center
• Three pleasant ways to reach the Sulphur Baths (approximately 1,300 steps each):
o Along the embankment with a great view
o Along an alley full of flowers and trees
o Along A green garden with sculpture groups
• Fresco supermarket and Bank of Georgia right next to the house
• All the necessary shops, pastry shops, hairdressers, pharmacies, and telecoms are in the neighboring buildings
• Six minutes’ walk to the fitness club and our favorite restaurant, Ortachala
• Kindergarten and school are 2-5 minutes away (even though our children are already grown up)
Living in this part of Krtsanisi, you’ll understand why the area is popular with embassies and trendy resorts (even though they don’t have the same walking distance that you will have).
